| January 14, 2010 Greetings from Jason Upton and Key of David Ministries! Many of you may or may not know that Jason’s wife Rachel has been expecting their 4th child, a boy. The due date has been February 1st for most of the pregnancy so with hesitancy and forewarning we agreed to participate in the event hosted and sponsored by Foresight Ministries on January 15-17, 2010. At the beginning of this week, January 11th, Jason and Rachel’s doctor informed them that the birth may move a little quicker than they anticipated. So, I called the leadership of Foresight Ministries with this update and asked that we begin praying and talking about the possibility of rescheduling the event. This pregnancy, as with all pregnancies is a time of expectation, excitement and increased sensitivity. With Jason and Rachel having lost a baby last year, this pregnancy comes with nothing less than those emotions and much, much more. After much prayer, numerous phone calls and the presentation of several different game plans, the leadership of Foresight Ministries decided to move forward with my suggestion to cancel and/or reschedule this event. Our appreciation and gratitude to Foresight Ministries for their flexibility, understanding and prayers cannot be expressed in words. They’ve exemplified Christ-like hospitality not only in the administration and organization of this event, but also in the midst of this unusual circumstance. The hope of Jason and our ministry is that when this event is rescheduled, there would be the same amount of support or more for Foresight Ministries. We look forward to seeing everyone if and when this event is rescheduled. And again, we appreciate your understanding and prayers.
